>>15665743>>15665418 was asking why Roost supposedly no longer removes Flying type for the turn.Anyway, they messed that up by making at least two fairies immune to Poison anyway, at least one neutral to Poison, and at least three neutral to Steel.
Damaging Steel moves will only really see use on Scizor because Bullet Punch, and generally things that have no other options (like Magnezone).
Poison is still a terrible attacking type that will probably only really see use on Pokemon that want to use it for STAB, because the only things weak to Poison are Grass and Fairy, while having no effect on the prevalent Steel, and being resisted by itself, Rock, Ground, and Ghost, the latter three being fairly common as well.
They had the chance to buff Poison when they were messing with the type chart; they could have made Fighting and Water weak to it. They could have made Ground no longer resist it. They could have added good, new Poison-type moves. Hell, they could've buffed ICE and made it resist Dragon, since as far as Outrage and Draco Meteor are concerned, resistance is better than immunity. Imagine Avalugg switching in on a Garchomp's Outrage, and proceeding to one-shot it with STAB x4 effective doubled power Avalanche!
Instead they half-assed their "balance."
