I'd say Jolly. That way you have over 300 Spe while with Adamant you cap at 299, which really sucks because a lot of Pokes try to have a little bit over 300

Funny thing about speed is that the exact number matters. With attack/Special attack, you could usually KO with or without the boost if you DD.

With speed, you need to not be slower than a Jolly/Timid/whatever version of your own Pokemon. Charizard X, being Dragon type, can kill itself. Do you want to have your Adamant lose to a Jolly 100% of the time? Even speed ties are better than guaranteed last.

Belly Drum

I usually set up a Sub with Gliscor or Scizor before sending him out to BD. If your opponent is unprepared, they're fucked.

Outrage is garbage this gen - fairy ruins everything. I'm actually running Rush over outrage... probably stupid, but everyone has a fairy now and I'm not giving Kelefki/Togekiss/ w/e a free switch in and a set-up.

Do NOT listen to any of the faggots telling you DD and Outrage. They are fucking stupid and have no place in here.

If you run DD and Outrage you're just baiting out a fairy which is gonna force you to switch and lose your setup.

Dragon Claw with Tough Claws is basically Dragon Rush with reliable accuracy, run that instead. Either Jolly or Adamant works, I think Adamant is better since you setup with DD anyway.

I'm pretty sure you're the one that sucks if you seriously run outrage.

Outrage is alright if you run it without setup, but you are so confoundingly stupid if you try to run it with fucking setup.

Enjoy losing DD when you're forced to switch because of a fairy. Also, enjoy getting hit even harder by confusion when Outrage gives out.

You have Flare Blitz, you don't really need a move that only hits 1 thing super effectively super hard when you have another one that can do the same and hit more than 1 thing super effectively without confusing you.

There's team preview, as long as you know there's no fairy that can switch in and kill you, Outrage is ALWAYS better than Claw.

Especially if they have a free switch in and you can't fucking choose any other move.

There are also fairy types that will just switch in and setup on your face if you are stupid enough to run this.

They have other moves they can use and really high Sp Atk, which is the defense Zard X is low on.

They can just hit you with STAB something and OHKO you if they run max Sp Atk.

Gardevoir can also Mega Evolve, in which case she will OHKO you and speed tie with you. Once she gets Hyper Voice she will just hit harder.

I didn't see the BD in your post, Running this, however, means you need two turns to setup and you also weaken yourself in the first turn. Its much less reliable than DD, but it works if you can get it off.

All Mawiles run Mega Evolution unless they are stupid, in which case Huge Power Sucker Punch or Play Rough wreck your face. If they don't however, running outrage lets them setup swords dance, where they can proceed to wreck your face.

Azumarril also gets Huge Power and it likes to run Aqua Jet and Belly Drum. Not only that, but you can't hit Azumarill super effectively with Flare Blitz, which means even without setup, it is a threat.

Not sure where everyone is getting the whole "Don't use Outrage because Fairy types will set up on you" argument. If they come in on your Outrage, it ends prematurely and you can select another attack. Most Fairy-types are also slower than Zard-X and he still has Flare Blitz off base 130 Atk (and maybe a +1 DD) to hit most Fairy types for their weaker defense. The only Fairy types that can pose a threat to ZardX are M-Mawile and Azumarill, due to their priority moves.

The game takes into account Gardevoir's base 80 Speed the turn you Mega Evolve into M-Gardevior. There is no Speed tie.

I still think its risky, Baton Pass sets are gimmicky overall since you're reliant on another pokemon. I'm not saying its a dumb idea or bad or anything, just saying that pokemon that don't need help to set up, or even better can setup themselves as well as take support from your team, are a lot more reliable.

I run MAggron with Wish support from Sylveon since they have great synergy and trust me, while I like how it works and all that, I still think that it probably would have been better for me to run it Jolly with Max Attack/speed and Autonomize.

Outrage unlocks when attacking a Fairy type.

Same with Thrash unlocking when trying to hit Ghost.

This unlock mechanic has arguably made Outrage even better now. Immune to Fairy? Aight, my Outrage is unlocked and I'll just fuck your shit up with Thunder Punch.

In order for it to use Outrage on Fairy type, the situation is either:
1) Zard-X used Outrage and the opponent switched in a Fairy-type. Zard-X can now select another move the next turn.
2) The opponent switched in a Fairy-type while Zard-X is already locked into Outrage. This means that Zard-X probably KO'd a Pokemon the last turn. The Fairy type does have one free turn but I'm not sure what you will be doing with it since Fairy attacks are neutral to Zard-X.

Team support or not, I'm sure you're aware of how momentum works. The person who just got a free +6 boost in attack with priority and great coverage officially has obtained all momentum, you can't deny that at all, you're instantly put to defense mode and must now hope he doesn't predict your obvious switch, if he does, you lost a wall.
