Has anyone seen a shiny mega garchomp yet? Cause they better fucking make up for that "can't tell if it's shiny unless its right next to a normal one, and even then you might not be sure which is which" shit.

What makes it better in doubles? Normal chompy can EQ just as well as mega can and doesn't eat your mega slot.

I'm breeding gibles for a megachomp right now actually. Being slower doesn't make it worse, it just changes it from a sweeper to a wall breaker. Plus you can play around the fact that it can go mega on non-orb non-mega sets and use that to your advantage, especially considering you can just change some moves around and use it as both.

Considering most people play 4v4 doubles (the official format) yes. Actually most of the megas are great on 4v4 considering how spread out EVs are.

You should also try out physical Greninja. Mine has Mac att and spd with acrobatics, uturn, night slash and mat block (focus sash) Would change mat block for the water priority attack for singles though. Because there's no fly gem I suggest no item in singles

I use sticky web on joltik so he can still move before the majority of the cast. Good ol tyranitar starts the storm for him.

It's not a terrific strat, plenty of simple counters but it's still fun when it works.

I don't think there is any reason to run Mega Garchomp apart from the fact it looks cool. 170 Base Attack sounds incredibly intimidating in theory, but Choice Banded Garchomp has more attack than that AND more speed. Hell I think even Life Orb Garchomp almost matches Mega Garchomp, there is really no point to him at all other than unleashing your inner 5 year old.
