Okay so I've just been here wondering why nobody has discussed this guy

>adaptability ability
>increases STAB to x2
>Venoshock double if enemy is poisoned
>venoshock goes from 65 damage to 194 damage

Am I just wrong or has this already been discussed?

You're gonna have to explain how transferring old pokemon is gonna somehow magically give us adaptability on this guy.

I am 96.35% certain I read that there was a chance things would breed down hidden abilities without needing a parent with one. Was this information false? Isn't protean froakies hidden, how are people getting that?
>I work all the time and havent beaten the elite 4 yet so I might have missed something in end game

Males can now pass down hidden abilities, albeit it has to be from the same species.
There are no hidden Ability Skrelps as of late

The female can pass down a hidden ability

The male can pass down a hidden ability if bred with ditto.

Hidden abitlites can be found in hordes or in the friend safari post game

Pokes caught in the safari zone have a chance of having their hidden ability. There are no Skrelp/Dragalge in any safari zone.

The only way to get Hidden abilities is to:

1: Find them in horde battles, of which this is an incredibly limited range of pokemon
2: Find them in the Friend Safari after the person's 3rd pokemon is unlocked (beaten the elite 4)

Skrelp can't be found in either of these conditions. Adaptability was confirmed as its hidden ability though by tracing it through the battle facilities.

I'm curious if Clauncher has a hidden ability now

You could get a Crawdaunt with adaptability right now if you wanted to. Hidden abilities dont' work like that.

The female will pass down hidden abilities and the male will only with ditto.
and since the crawdaunt will have to be male to breed with Skrelp and hatch skrelp, you won't get shit.
