Hey dawgs. I've been watching the anime for the first time since it aired in the us back in the day to fill up time while dexing and breeding in y. Watched all of season 1, skipped 2, watching 3 now. It seems stale now though. More formulaic than it used to be. I'm getting bored.

Does the weird fun stuff from the first season ever come back? Like episodes that decide to be medical dramas or detective stories for no reason? Drowzee luring children to live in a forest on the top of a building, ghost pokemon killing ash to play with his undead spirit in their room of toys, terrorist tentacruels, sabrina shrinking the crew and trying to murder them in a nightmare dollhouse, that kind of thing?

I don't really care about the poke-of-the-week, rocket attack, rocket attack, gym badge, another rocket attack, pretty girl, Ash occasionally catches a poke thing. Also I miss verbally abusive Misty, she's boring and nice now.

Does shit get weirder in the later seasons? Or the second have of s3?
