I am CONSTANTLY running into people, 99% of whom always seem to have Hidden Power Ice on exactly the pokemon they need it.
I'm mostly just looking for some kind of validation to my rage here, don't you have to do some serious fucking RNG abuse to ensure you get the Hidden Power you want?

5 perfect IVs give you hidden power dark, so its either good ivs or good hidden power

It's easy as fuck to get full IVs across the board, so it's not too much of a stretch to get Hidden Powers. You only need to turn on the Exp.Share carrying all your babies to easily find the right IVs.

So I suppose that's why Snorlax almost OHKO'd him on the revenge, because he had to sacrifice some IVs for that one little trick? This makes me feel better and invalidates my rage.

I think its a 50% chance that its dark with 5 IVs, with an odd stat giving it dark. The big change is hidden power now has fixed strength, so the ridiculous rnging needed for a max power one is not necessary anymore.

It can get pretty annoying. First there would be 1/6 chance for the RNG to pick the correct stat to randomize and then it's A 1 in 31 chance to get the right IV right? This is considering the both parents are perfect.

With a pair of 5IV mons, one of them being a foreigner, it takes about 10 minutes to collect 5 eggs and hatch them. Usually one of them will also be a 5IV pokemon.

The Japs must be psychic, god damn. They're the sole reason I lose 60% of the time. I'm trying to not do a cookie cutter team for the sake of interesting battles. The Japs really do suck the fun out of this game.

I really hate Mawile, they're forcing me to not use my Marvel Scale Dragonite.

I'm not bad, I'm at 80 wins and 85 losses on Rating, BUT EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME I'm about to close that 4-5 win/lose gap, it pairs me with 3-4 fucking Japs with a rating score at least 100 points above mine in a row, and they all just kick my ass right the fuck back down.
I can't even fucking explain it, I bring perfectly reasonable strategies that work against their non-Japanese counterparts, but they always manage to fuck me.
I seriously wish I could just fucking filter out Japs from my rating battles. The worst part? Because of my work schedule, I can only play when it's Japan's uptime, America's sloping downtime, and Europe's totally dead.

Don't underestimate him, he's fast as a motherfuck and can hit hard with a 110 base SpATK, combine that with Volt Switch and you got a real viable strong lead.

You are both wrong. Hidden power calculating not from IV's but from even/uneven numbers. In fact, 5 IV's with uneven numbers and the last one even will give you ice.
And yes, there is a Hidden Power Checker in Anistar City.
