I asked because whereas western world only ever makes the Gallade + Gardevoir link, Japan has found an additional niche for Gallade to occupy and make use of - rather than make him completely irrelevant outside of his family.
Unfortunately, my lack of knowledge with Japanese popular contemporary hero archetypes makes entire thing hard to analyze.
I am only aware of the 'rugged silent hero from nowhere that spends entirety of his life on honing combat skills'-one that Lucario fully embodies - not sure what kinds of heroes Bisharp and Gallade stand for.
