Fuck /vp/ I'm tired of grinding Battle Maison.

Just yesterday I had to spend 200 BP on a damn ability capsule.
Now I need 48 for a Life Orb. And all those TMs I didn't buy yet..

How do you cope with it? What's your trick to make it as fast as possible
I've been spamming normal singles with mega gengar as lead

I've been running lead Choice Band Garchomp lead to punch holes in the opponent. Pretty much just pick the move that's SE against the opponent's lead, or switch out if it's faster than you can can Ice Beam/Blizzard/Dragon-move you. You often get free wins just by going Earthquake -> Earthquake -> Earthquake. I back that up with Talonflame and M-Kangaskhan for cleanup, both running some form of priority moves, between Gale Wings and Fake Out, to get rid of whatever Garchomp couldn't deal with. I've hit 100 streak, then 109 streak with this, and have never gotten a streak less than 40.

After a LOT of Maison, I've never known the AI to cheat. It's just the mechanics of how the system works: you need to win many, many times in a row to get to good BP gain, but the AI only needs to beat you once. So as long as you get unlucky enough to lose once, you need to start again. Other than that I'm pretty sure it's just confirmation bias.

Although I swear I've never seen the AI miss a Blizzard, over a sample size of at least 30 in no weather. It misses Stone Edge all the time though.

It cheats. It plays with it's own RNG, or rather ignores the RNG entirely and just does as it pleases. It's mostly just Accuracy hax though.

I do however wanna see what happens come December with hacked mons transfered over. I recall the Battle Tower in Gen4 would, over time, change it's movesets to counter anything, even theoretically unkillable monsters.

I think one anon even reported an enemy mon having a case where they had moves that in no legal way they ever could after a few adaptions.

I've heard people speculate that it might be a event or move tutor in the eventual next game/games in this gen. But back in the battle tower there were mons who you could verify in Platinum, HG, and SS, that never got the moves they wound up using just to screw you over.

5IV is hard?

Fuck, I usually a 6IV within first box of breeding. You get two of them and every single pokemon you breed is 5IV. And then getting a 5IV in correct stats or 6IV on a pokemon with 2 abilities is approximately 1/13 chance.

That's way faster than 200 points.

And yeah, 200 points is easy to get.

I have couple 3 IV dittos. I breed a poke with first 3 IVs from one ditto, and then breed it with 2nd ditto.

Oh, and because of that I made a point of having 6IV male in every egg group. Wasn't hard.
