I was trying to breed a good Rotom and then bam. After like three eggs a 1 Iv rotom. Now I don't feel like even breeding them. Since the Shiny one is so terrible.

I've bred up a few teams already in gen 6, and I stopped feeling "rewarded" after the first two times I got my 5 stat Pokemon. Every time after that, it was just "finally it's over". So I've been on both sides of the spectrum.

At the end of the day, it'll only be possible to prove that things originating from gen 6 are "legit", since it's the only gen that isn't available for the public to hack easily yet. So who's to say that I didn't RNG/pour several hours into my Pokemon obtained from past games? Same with old events. You can't prove that I didn't if it's well made enough.

Also, only "legal" and "illegal" are defined as far as the game itself is concerned. Either something looks fine, or something has a problem. There's no "okay this pokemon looks good, but it wasn't generated by ingame means, so it's just legal." It's just a human-coined term as far as the game goes.

Actually in my opinion it only shows that people are autistic. Of course people wouldn't want someone to create a team of essentially invincible pokemon and wipe out their entire team instantly. When people connect to a match they want a legitimate and fair match. Nobody connects for the purpose of having their team instantly killed by a cheater.

But if you create something that could theoretically be obtained through the game without using external resources and you win a battle using that pokemon, then that is legitimate; all you did was cut out the unnecessary and autistic amount of time it would take to obtain those pokemon without pokegen. It cannot be considered cheating by definition.

Nobody who has a sound philosophy of competition would consider pokegen cheating.

Yes and people cheat. It happens. The IV, EV system is a joke. GF never intended it to be this. But you are cheating if you Pokegen perfect mons in and your opponent doesn't know and may be one or 2 IVs from a victory. You aren't a real winner. And now the whole community is infected with this rat race for perfect IV and EVs and it's a slippery slope.
