>>15734644>Gen. 2 had Skarmory, Tyranitar, and Donphan just to name a few.Yeah, you can only name a few, because it was the generation that introduced the least amount of Pokemon (bar this gen, unless we really get extended pokedex), and most of them were things running off the last gen building off its success, so Scizor is just a slightly cooler Scyther, who was already pretty cool. Steelix is a usable onix. Most memorable of Gen 2 is pretty much the legendaries, the starters, and the gen 1 evolutions. There were a few notable ones like you mentioned, Heracross is probably one of my favorite Pokemon. There are so many Gen 2 Pokemon in "most forgettable Pokemon threads" it's a bit sad, because the high points of the gen were really high points.
The babies alone made up like 20% of the pokedex and served absolutely no purpose besides to make breeding even more tedious.
>>15734739Just because they're based on something doesn't make them good. Especially considering Mr Mime as some sort of actual mime thing would've given it a much less annoying color scheme/pattern. You can be based on something terrible and still look fine. I even like Trubbish, despite being based on trash, it doesn't look wretched. The thing is adorable. Garbordor is the point where those other Pokemon I mentioned are.
