Their first two stages would be Rock/Grass, Rock/Fire, and Rock/Water - but then, because of the exposure to the present day (or something), their third form would be the usual Grass/Fire/Water triangle with all new secondary types added.
On the flipside? Have either the first or second stage learn Ancient Power from a Move Relearner and take the starter to the evolution level.
It'll evolve into its "original" third stage (it would be called the "Fossil Forme of the regular third stage), Rock type and all.
