Never underestimate a fast Will-o-wisp/Sub/Leech Seed. Objectively the best subseeder among the gourgeist sizes. Subseeding isn't that great now, yes, but it utilizes the moves Sub/Seed/Willowisp best.
Small size is the best mon for Maison, due to NPCs not switching, meaning subseed is even better than what huge can offer.
Careful, 252 HP, some speed to outrun neutral 100s, rest into SpDef

Huge is a better overall tank, though, I'll give you that.
Mothers pass on size.
