I hatched a shiny Noibat while breeding for IVs a while ago. Unfortunately, it doesn't have any perfect IVs and its nature is not the best, so I won't be able to use it competitively. It's really cute, though.

Been hunting for shiny pumpkaboo - hatching 3 boxes of eggs at a time, then going into the safari for a few hours at a time. About 9 boxes into it thus far but no dice yet. Ended up with 2x Shiny Golurk and a Shiny Shuppet during this process so it hasn't been a total loss, but I'd rather have had the Pumpkaboo!

I'm *this* close to being starting up a breeding machine to start pumping out perfect IV Moxie Adamant Pinsirs w/ egg moves to possibly trade for male foreign counterparts/foreign bugs (for Masuda Method)

Got 1 perfect 5IV Moxie female and a 4IV Moxie male. I've been plugging away trying to get a perfect 5IV male (any ability) but I keep getting bad luck. The past 3 perfect 5IVs I've gotten have been non-moxie females.

Looking forward to getting this done so I can start my very first MM attempt. Way back when I tried breeding for a shiny Charmander in FireRed but that didn't go anywhere lol

Got lucky TWICE today in the FS.

First I got a Male Pyroar. Traded it for a Shiny female Pyroar. Maybe I should held onto it seeing how rare male Pyroars are ... but none of the other shinys I want are likely to be traded for a Pyroar (T-Rex, Female Ralts, Female Espurr) or they're something I could get on my own (Mawile/ Furfrou).
Had just put to Pyroar in the daycare to make a shiny egg ... still gonna do that. Would like one I can name that's got decent IVs and nature.

2nd was Braixen. Out of no where as I was watching Scandal lol

Did you save before getting the egg? And are you only hatching the first one? Because typically the first egg you hatch after start-up will always have set values.

the pokemon that you hatch already has its info generated when the guy recieves the egg.

if it is not shiny, it will never be shiny.

you have to pick up new eggs.

no. what we generally do is we save when the guy recieves the first egg. then we box that egg.
then we walk back and forth and pick up another 5 eggs and go hatch it

although the fastest way to hatch eggs is to carry 5 eggs with you and rider back and forth.
when the daycare man has a new egg. box your last egg and pick up that egg.

when you hatch something, go swap it out with an egg in your box.

this is the fastest way to hatch eggs.

Basically I saved in front of the day-care man while he had and egg. When I reset, I have him get rid of the egg, collect 5, hatch them, and then reset and start over.

generally the method where you constantly hatch and box eggs is the best because you are constantly hatching eggs and results in more eggs per time playing.

the process works, as long as you get a different egg every time it has a chance of being shiny. The reason most people (atleast myself) get a lot of eggs is because the time is slightly shorter between each hatch because you're carrying more at the same time

Don't really like stopping to put eggs in PCs since it seems cumbersome.

That's a good Safari, assuming that you don't care that Haxorus was an in-game Gift Shiny in Gen 5, as was Dratini, and the fact that Dragonair also counts as a Fishing Shiny.

As for Shiny Rates, nobody knows what they are. Just that they weren't as absurdly high as previous Gen's

Surprisingly not long. Just pop on a movie, or a playlist of video's/music on YouTube or something. Quickest shiniest were two that I found literally within an hour of entering the Safari. Longest was a Quagsire that I found after around 5 hours. Generally, you should be able to find AT LEAST 1 shiny if you spend enough time in there a day.

All eggs are determined as soon as you pick them up. Every single one of them. You can't soft reset eggs. They're either going to come out shiny, or not. Once you have the eggs, you cannot influence the outcome. Not for abilities, nature, or shininess. Hope that helped.

Basically, you get assigned a type.

Then there are three groups in each type, A, B, and C we'll call them.

Those groups have Pokemon in them, and only one will be assigned to your Safari.

Because of this, it IS possible, yet somewhat rare to find people with the same Safari as you.

Basically, each type has X amount of possible outcomes, and you and that guy just landed on the same one.

MM-ed shinies leftovers (for exemple male modest/timid ralts with good iv...), shiny protean froakie, good natured / iv-ed shinies from FS, good shiny eevees

I have a lot of shinies (~55) and some of them are really good (schuckle max iv in def and spe def, protean kecleon bashful max iv atk and speed, quirky foretress max IV def and spe def, jolly hawlucha max speed IV, male meowstic + spa natured and 31 IV spa...)
I can trade 2 or 3 of them for really good and usable shinies, just ask me what shinies you want and what you have.
I'm not looking for MM ed talonflames, honedge since I have them, except if talonflame has gale wings (mine has flame body) and if honedge has 4+ max IV (speed 0)

Theres normally things you have to look for on Gts, not things people put up as crap fillers such as biddof but also not things that are good and people wouldn't part with.

Tl;dr, don't expect good things from gts such as god tier shinys but rather subpar

I ended up trading an Articuno I had gotten from a Modest Shiny Gyarados for the Mareep, but it's adamant (no big surprise there), if anyone wants to offer me anything for it then i'd be happy to trade for a more competitively viable pokemon, cuz' I know that some people just want the shinies and don't care about natures etc.

Try to chain sycther all last night. No luck. The area with with tall flower grass towards the back of route 21 would be perfect if there wasn't the huge hole in the patch. I'm trying for Litleo too, but his route isn't too ideal for chaining either. Anyone have luck with these two? I can't get the chain over 15.
