I have a question regarding Pokémon trading.

I have a Gamecube with the Game Boy Player, a Game Boy Advance SP, and one of those purple cables that lets you connect the GBA to the GC.

If I have one 3rd Gen Pokémon game running on the Gamecube, and another running on the GBA, and I hook up the GBA and the Gamecube, can I trade Pokémon?

To trade, you'd need an actual GBA cable to connect the unit on the game boy player to the Gamecube, I believe.

Connecting to it with the purple cable will either have no effect or the gamecube will try to use the GBA as a controller.
