As you may or may not know, November is National Novel Writing Month. This time of year, aspiring authors from all over the world set their noses to the grind stone in an attempt to hammer out 50,000 words in 30 days. They all have hopes and dreams of one day being successful authors.

You're right, it doesn't line up.
No one said anything about him giving up being evil. I was careful in part 12 to choose my words so that he still seemed like a dick after he departed Vermillion.
Here's my semi-canon theory based on what I've written and my notes:
Vyro has spent his whole life on his own. Whatever Grayson told him about the bombs and had him do, it wasn't Vyro's doing. Gryason just used him as to not get his own or others hands dirty of the actual bombing. My thoery is that he is far too proud to be a pawn; he knew Grayson would never actually let him run rampant in the streets of the Vyro Empire.. Vyro needs to be evil himself.
He falls somewhere between antihero and antagonist.
I do have this explained more in my notes for a future part

Saffron being the most dense city in all of Kanto at the time of the games would have spread out around itself toward all its surrounding cities. Vermillion would be moving into Route 11 which might still have some space remaining so you can tecnically explain it away like that by putting it with Saffron being too dense to house anyone. And the Cycling Road is downhill making it just as bad.

I don't want to bring it up TOO often, but is Aiden going to show up at some point? It's cool if not, but I'd just like to see if he's going to even make a tiny appearance. Just fyi, he travels around fairly frequently, in between raising pokemon, and he's a surprisingly interesting traveling companion - he might add an interesting dynamic by being just OKAY at battling, but still being a dynamic character in his own right.
