I just recently started getting back into pokemon after stopping in gen IV. A few weeks ago (a month or two, tops) I emulated White and played it until I beat the League. I was pleasantly surprised, and actually liked the game more than I expect to. I'm thinking of buying pokemon Y and one of the sequels from Gen V now, so I can transfer my stuff to Pokemon Y, including my shinies from Emerald and all the stuff I traded for in Diamond/Platinum.

So, my questions are:

- Is it worth buying Pokemon Y if I liked Pokemon White?
- Should I buy White 2 or Black 2?
- Can I transfer my stuff from Diamond to White 2/Black 2, or do I have to go from Diamond to White/Black to White 2/Black 2?
- Will I get banned from using the Pokebank (or whatever it's called) if I transfer hacked pokemon? I think I have a few illegitimate pokemon in Diamond, gotten from online trades.
- Is there a way to check whether my pokemon are illegal or not?
- Lastly, will the pokemon bank be free for a month counting from its launch, or for a month after I first try to access it in my game?
