So /vp/, I caught my first random-encounter shiny pokemon. It was a loudred in the friend safari. It's got scrappy. How useless is exploud, or would it be worth training?

People will instantly say STAB boomburst with scrappy is amazing

However with its base stats and normal typing its just kind of average

Might be fun to try to use in the Battle Maison and in the game

I wouldnt really use it online or competitive unless you really like him

He's gotten a pretty strong move to work with in Boom Burst seeing as it's 140 BP with STAB that apparently passes Substitute this gen thanks to a buff to sound moves. Since you've got Scrappy you won't even have to worry about Ghosts either.

I'm using one in the Battle Maison.
Choice Specs. Boomburst/Ice Beam/Flamethrower/Surf. Hits like a truck but cant tank more than 3 attacks even with 252 HP EVs
