I keep hearing that the shiny encounter rate is increased when at the Friend Safari. Is this likely to be true or is it a load of bullshit?

I found two shinies in it after not seeing one since 2007, so I'd believe it

the two shines I've found outside of chain fishing came from the friend safari, A minccino and a Teddiursa

Well either Im incresibly luck or the shiny encounter rate is increased in FS, I mean seriously 2 shiny dittos and 1 shiny Teddiursa in the same safari in a 24 hour span?

I found a shiny in there the other day, but I'm guessing the encounter rate is the same as any other grass. The lluminate ability thing just increases your general encounter rate by 2, not just increasing the chance you'll see shinies.
