You've seen baby evolutions....
What if they had new evolutions in the middle of the chain?
(Like a evo of Venonat before Venomoth)

Shoot that kind of sounds like a better idea than what they did with all those awful evolutions in Gen IV.

Ok, then explain the benefit of baby pokemon?
At least with a mid form it'll make getting that final form complete. Especially with those Pokemon that don't evolve until later levels.

It's somewhat a fresh idea.

Baby pokemon were terrible too though.

And most of those pokemon that don't evolve till later levels are three stage pokemon anyway.
