So, I'm the shithead who keeps posting about "I don't have the money for RMXP 1.04" and "there are no keygens for RMXP 1.04." But anyways, those posts should have alluded you to the fact that I've been trying to make my own Pokeymanz game for a while now, with Pokemon Essentials. Here's a long synopsis of the story for this game:>Starts in an office space as a middle-aged nobody who hasn't done anything involving Pokemon since he/ she was a kid >You work for a very environmentally unfriendly company named San Monto Company, and your coworkers are slaves to the system; they hate Pokemon, so your interests in Pokemon are very small >You start out the game going out to lunch and harangued by your rival and his goons. >You need food fast, so you remember there being vending machines outside of the building >Your rival is a hot-shot rising employee in the company, so the boss sees him as being an awesome guy >You arrive in the main city, New Monto City, and it's the product of being an industrial hell-hole. >Oddly enough, there is no restaurant in New Monto City >The vending machines are broken, so you decide that going out past the first route will bring forth a restaurant >There's an old river that connects to every city, and the New Monto part of the river is infested with Grimers, which seem to be plaguing the city's water supply >There's an enigmatic construction zone outside of the giant mountain that looms over New Monto City. No one tells you what's being built, but rumors run from it being a new Pokemon Center, to a new water filtration facility, to claims that the San Monto Company is capping the mountain for resources. >You go through a brief portion of the mountainside to the beginning route, where the cave is littered with Dunsparces. >Professor Oak pulls you aside from your journey, oddly enough, to go in to his rental cabin on that route

>He asks if you can go out to the other San Monto facilities in Tolero and investigate them >He gives you a Pokedex as well, seeing that you could possibly help him catalog the Pokemon native to Tolero that didn't go extinct from the San Monto pollution yet >And so, your journey begins. The game is more-so comical than it is serious, but the two themes blend well within the game. I don't have too many graphics made for this game because I was working on a 30-day time-frame to get the initial demo created. I'll update it sooner or later with better graphics and stuff. I'm a bit fearful to release the demo on here, because the original demo file contains all of the picture/ sound/ etc folders, so people could rip whatever I'm working on. However, I have released the demo to my friends, so it has been seen by other eyes. I know dick about making sounds and music, so when it comes to that time where I need to develop original music and such, I'll need to consult somebody. The heavy details pertaining to graphics and such will be focused on when after the game is done. If you want to know more about it, just ask. Also, I'd appreciate opinions based on what you've read so far.

I like your idea, OP. My advice: Take it away from here and never bring it back. Seriously. Nothing that gets collaborated on here ever gets finished (See: Pokémon Comfy). The only thing that seems to be headed in the right direction is Pokémon Sage, but all they really do is circlejerk, now. If you can find a dev team, great, but don't turn this into a daily thread. Trust me, it will fail.

This was just something to vent my ideas.
I've gone almost two months not being able to touch my game because of financial shit, so I'm kind of having separation issues from it, if you know what I mean.
Also, I wanted to see what other people besides my friends would think about this idea. Thanks for your input as well.

>>15805928 No problem. I would help with your music if I had access to any kind of composing software besides the shitty free shit I have.

>>15805439 >You get to pick one starter Pokemon from all the regions (for example, you can pick between Bulbasaur, Chimchar, Treecko, Oshawott, etc) Nah fuck that shit.
Starter pokemon should be Koffing, Grimer and Trubbish. They make a perfect trio.

>>15806218 I spent a week just deliberating on what the starters would be.
It was first just straight-up going to be Grimer. But this would be a special Grimer, with different stats and a different movelist than normal Grimers.
Then, it became an odd triangle, with Ice, Steel ,and Ground: the starters were Swinub, Beldum, and Trapinch. I scrapped that idea because no one would pick Swinub and I couldn't explain why those would be starters.
Then, I pondered about Koffing, Grimer, and Trubbish (legitimately), but I realized that they were only 1-stage evolution Pokemon, and the general motif is to have two-stage Pokemon.
My friends really enjoyed an idea I had about picking ANY starter from the old games, so I went with that.

>>15806170 Ah. But would that constitute as experience in 16-bit music?

>>15806956 No, but I didn't know that's what you were looking for. Most of Pokémon's music is no longer 16-bit.
