I doubt it would be possible to pass down Cherish Ball via breeding because it would defeat the purpose of having a special event ball. Although the Torchic and Zoroark line can breed, the event Torchic is can only be male. In the case of Ditto, the offspring inherits Ditto's ball if the other parent is male.
Pokebank obviously isn't out yet, so it couldn't have been the 5th gen event Zoroark either.
Am I overlooking something or has this much progress has been made with Pokemon editors already?
