I didn't randomize type, and hilariously it still got serene grace even though I'm PRETTY sure I randomized abilities.

Is there a randomizer that can completely randomize the types? That is, make it so that pokemon species don't have set types? Because simply mixing it up is great for the first few hours, but once I know what to expect, it stops being more challenging than a regular nuzlocke.

Really? The one I used so far only made it so that, for example, every Charmander was now Ground type, or Persian Water type, and not completely random.

That's impossible, techincal wise. It'd mean they'd have to make an infinite amount of pokemon in the data.

Not necessarily. You only have to store the data of the NPCs' and the player's pokemon, everything else could be randomly generated on the spot. There would be no reason to store that data afterwards. And even the NPCs are only an issue if they can be somehow rechallenged. Anyway, I admit it would be harder than simply reorganizing stats and types.
