So I'm trying to breed a 5IV Honedge. So far, I've gotten two Adamant 3IV Honedges. One has HP, ATK, DEF, and the other has ATK, DEF, SP DEF. Both parents are adamant, and as far as I know, 'No Guard' is the only ability Honedge has. Currently, one parent is holding an Everstone, and the other has Destiny Knot. Should I give the parent with Everstone a Power Item instead? Would that still produce an adamant offspring with 4 IVs instead of random ones?

Do not use a Power Item, they negate Destiny Knot. Just use Everstone + Destiny Knot, and pray.

You need the everstone to ensure the nature is Adamant. And IIRC, the power item overrides the Destiny Knot.

Shouldn't you be breeding for a brave honedge in any case? Stance changes and kings shield means it's preferable to go second as you take the hit with OP defense then attack with OP offense.

A quick note that you want as little speed as possible which a brave nature would satisfy but in rare cases which it becomes a mirror match up between two aegislash you might want to out speed the opponent. Basically rock paper scissors the meta.

Are you going to be using an eviolite doublade or an aegislash? Because brave is the nature that you want for Aegislash.

Attack up, speed down nigga.

If you're running a Brave Nature OP you really only need: HP, ATK, DEF, Sp.DEF. For Ageieslash the less speed you have the better, and Sp. ATK isn't the way people go considering his best attacks are physical. Adamant is fine though too, but I run brave

>>15817491 Well, luckily I just got a 4IV Honedge (HP, ATK, DEF, SP DEF). But now it seems like I need to get a brave one since I'm not interested in running a Doublade build.
Does anyone have any spare Brave Dittos or Honedges?!
