And yeah, Barbaracle has to rely on moves like Stone Edge and Cross Chop for damage, both of which have terrifyingly high miss rates. Thing is, though, with SS and Tough Claws, everything that it DOES manage to hit isn't getting back up. Barbaracle also has various coverage moves with higher accuracy, though they often come at the cost of power or Tough Claws compatibility... in which case Sniper is actually a usable option, since many of Barbaracle's moves have a high crit chance to begin with.
God, this thing would be so much fun with Crabhammer, Aqua Jet, or Head Smash. Or Baton Pass. I'm still not sure why Binacle can't learn Double Slap (yes, it's not ever worth using, but it makes a fuckton of sense), and I'm confidant that come Z-version Move Tutors are going to make Barbaracle some kind of UU god.
At the very least, it doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Aurorus. Even if it's to make a valid comparison, like "Barbaracle is what Rock types should be like, Aurorus is everything they shouldn't". Seriously, Aurorus is shit. Awful stat distribution, awful ability/movepool synchronization, beautiful design. All of those are the opposite of what Barbaracle has, if you factor in Shell Smash (or Rock Polish, since it's strong enough to abuse that already, and it has PuP) and force yourself to look at Barbaracle's face long enough to realize that the entire species is Right-Headed for some reason.
