I have a Modest Larvesta with perfect IVs in SpAk and Speed. I have a non-Modest Larvesta with perfect IVs in SpAk and Defense. The modest Larvesta is holding an Everstone, and the non-Modest is holding Destiny Knot. So if I ceep trying, I'll get a baby with perfect SpAk/Speed/Defense? I'm trying to get a Larvesta, Modest, with 31 in everything except Attack. Am I doing it right? I've done like 5 batches and no luck.

It'll take a while but yeah.

You can imagine how I felt breeding 2 pokemon, the female has 2 perfect IVs and the male has 3, which ends up covering all the perfect stats I want minus the one irrelevant one.

It took a while but it's like a 2% chance for a 5 IV pokemon to hatch. It happened twice with females but they didn't have the hidden ability.

No, if you want the Def IVs, give it the def power item to guarantee those IVs get passed. The remaining 5 will be taken from either parent and since the modest larvesta has the other two you want, that's your best bet. Give non-modest Larvesta the Def power item (from battle maison) and modest Larvesta the everstone.

And how do you propose he passes down the other IVs then if he uses a power item?

OP don't feel too bad, you'll get lucky at some point and get what you want. They you can swap parents around and keep going. Might take you a day, around 3 or 4 boxes worth, but you'll get your perfect Larvesta. You're on the right track.

Wrong. All a power item will do with a destiny knot is guarantee that one of the five passed down IVs is that stat.

You're better off using an Everstone with Destiny Knot because you don't want to get a perfect pokemon in everything but nature.
