my suggestion is to get two parents with diffrent spreads on the IV, something like max hp, atk, def, sp def while the other sits on max hp, def, sp atk, sp def or something similar. It all depends on what you're aiming for, honedge wont outspeed anything and if you're not gonna use the special attack stat then I see no reason to care for these two stats

Yeah, especially what >>15826375 said. Also, when you get to this point where you're eggs have 3-4 IVs, try to breed Charmander with another Charmander that has a different IV spread. Dittos are great and all, but I find eggs to appear slower if you do Charmander x Ditto instead of Charmander x Charmander.

That's because it is. With same ID and Type, you have a 50% chance of getting an egg after such and such steps, while same ID and different type is only 25%.

Plus, once you're breeding 3IV/4IV Pokemon, they're likely just as good if not way better in terms of Maxed IVs/12, which increases the chance of the 5 IVs passed down being the ones you want.

I just got done breeding Noibats.

I squeeled like a little faggot because I wasn't actually trying to get it, but my last hatch was not only Shiny, but it had all the stats I wanted.

I didn't even think about the fact that I was using a japanese ditto to do it, I was just thinking "This ditto has 3 good IVs"

I have one full box of 3 IV Noibats, might just wonder trade them. They can't be in that high demand.

Alternatively im still holding on top a few 4 IV Magbys, seeing what I can get for them.

If I'm not mistaken, the only ways you can get an HA on offspring are:

1) Breed two of the same type of Pokemon, but the female must have the HA.
2) Breed a Pokemon with Ditto, but the other Pokemon has to be male and have the HA.

And to get the parents with the HA, it's either through hordes or friend safari.

No, it looks alright. Just make sure the Hitmonchan is a male, so it can pass the HA when you breed it with Ditto.

And both moves should be passed on. I was able to pass both Spikes and Synthesis as egg moves with Chespin.

I have been breeding helioptiles because I like Heliolisks design mostly. I also really like electrics so i wanted heliolisk to be my first perfect IV mon
kinda bummed out he's a normal type too though like it's more useless than an appendix unless im gonna deny a gengar stab or something. fighting types everywhere though so bleh.
Currently have 2 Perfect IV's both male one with Sand veil and the other with dryskin. Both Timid. The Sand veil one is like above level 30 tho he's been breedan.

I sort of want to use him in a drizzle team but I really can't imagine going out of my way to breed a politoed

The best way is to take the battle test with the pokemon you want to check, look at their stats, and plug them into an IV calculator(there are several online, just google).

Potential - average, above average, superior, outstanding
Stats - HP, Attack, Defense, S Att, S Def, Speed (whichever ones he says here are the stats that are affected by the last bit)
IV - decent, great, Stats like those...they can't be beaten (you want this last one, means you have 31IV in the stats he told you were good)

I'm trying to breed Bergmites with Sturdy, relaxed and Mirror coat, but I'm not sure if I should care about Sp.atk, Sp.Def or Speed and the ones that get the most IVs are always ones with Ice Body or Own Tempo.

You can give Breloom Focus Punch by getting a fale Scrafty to 58 (or Scraggy 49), breeding it with a female Snubbull/Granbull, and breeding the Snubbull/Granbull offspring (male) with a female Breloom. I've already got a few Shroomish with Focus Punch, Poison Heal and an Impish nature.

The ability has no bearing on the IVs, it's just luck.

Assuming that I'm right about Mirror Coat in that it doesn't need Sp. Atk (bit rusty on some of my moves), then I don't know why you'd want to put Sp. Atk on a Bergmite. In that case, you only need to worry about getting HP, ATK, DEF, SP.DEF and SPEED. Not entirely sure what the problem is.

My problem is I don't know how Mirror Coat works.
Also, Avalugg only has 46 Sp.Def. Should I continue to get one with 31 IV there anyway (and give it EVs maybe and even an Assault Vest) or I should just ignore a stat so low as it will lose 99% of its HP to a Fireblast anyway?

As far as I know, Mirror Coat is based off the damage the other Pokemon gives, not your own Sp. Atk, in which case, it doesn't matter that Avalugg has dismal Sp. Atk. So don't worry about getting 31 IVs in it, let it be whatever and get 31 in the other 5.

- Grass Type Mon's can sponge Spore's, so makes that a little bit more unreliable
- Infiltrator/Sound Moves bypass Subs, so SubPunch is a little bit less safe
- Motherfucking Fairies...Togekiss has gone from taking a neutral Focus Punch to a 4x resisted one...

No, Magic Guard only prevents status, weather and field effects. Basically, the only way to damage Reuniclus is through direct attacks.

Special Attacks still work though. If you wanted a bulky reuniclus though, id run HP + Def, as reuniclus has naturally high Sp Def. It all depends on your team synergy though.

I'm trying to breed a decent IV psyduck just because then i'll have a good base parent for my froakie and marill. However, even with a 5 iv skiddo and destiny bond, i'm lucky to get even a 2 iv duck every batch. Why is this happening to me? I've bred 3 "perfect" (5 ivs apart from the attack stat they don't use) pokemon and one perfect pokemon so far this gen, and they were easy. I shat out 3 iv pokemon all the time.
