Got my first shiny on my first hour of play...after so many years being no shiny-player.
I even thought that XY has better chances of getting shinies.
NOPE...i guess game just wanted to say "here is finally your first shiny...for all these years you didn't slept breeding and training creatures that don't even exist"
PS:
It has, but with fishing and hordefighting, friend safaring...didn't tired these yet.

Friend safari gave me a shiny stunfisk and a shiny masquerain. I pokeradar'd a shiny hawlucha, took like 10 minutes maybe. Most shinies I've found in a single game yet. Not all that surprising, I guess given the friend safari bump.

I will never do this...nope. nope. nope. The amount of time just scares me.
I'd rather trade legends/perfectmons for shinies
Probably the only bad thing - i can't change their names if it's from GTS...
But nope...i feel so bad breeding...it's like having your life falling through your fingers like a sand.

I know. Trust me, literally the entire time I questioned if it was even worth doing. And seeing that play time just made me feel dirty.

But with breeding, it's easy to just mindlessly do it and do other things. Like, I watched a shitload of netflix and I just taped the joystick down so I didn't even have to keep my hand on it.

Also. I've wanted a shiny of my favorite pokemon for a really long time and that's all that was driving me. I'll probably never masuda again

Breeding is actually the only way to get good stat shinies, hence why it's the most preferred method. The worst you could do is a 3-4iv pokemon if you're doing IV's x MM.

There's that, then wonder trading the leftover's, I've gotten some really good shit like 4iv pokes and a shiny mienfoo, or you could trade them for other people's leftovers on the board.
