They also say you can't use them in tournaments, but that's exactly what happens. You can hack a Pokemon to where it is untraceable. Every aspect of a good hack can be exactly the same as a "legit" Pokemon. The only ones that will be filtered are the hacks that go outside the boundaries of what's possible in the games.

My first copies of Pokemon Ruby/Leafgreen got stolen a long time ago. Though I do have of my friends pokemon all the way back to gen 3 events(mew, jiranchi, deoxys, 10th aniv pokemon) and a Gliscor.

I have a shiny Blaziken from Colosseum that is currently in my White 2. I kinda sorta maybe Action Replay'd it into my game. But he's the only one who exists and I can't wait until I get to use the sucker again.
I'm pretty sure he has the wrong nature and shitty IVs. But, fuck it.

No. Because Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon do not have the same data setup as Gen 3+ Pokemon. You can extract your save file, but you can't "PokeGen them over". You are being trolled.

You're copying the original save file and then going through it and copying your original pokemon over to another save file from the destination generation.
You're basically recreating a your original pokemon, but there will be some alterations like ability and nature.

Actually way back when there was a game shark that allowed you to alter save states and bit was pretty easy to move pokes over. People in this thread are retarded and think if they didn't do it that it can't be done.

The reason you could not transfer gen 2 to 3 was because the .pkm files were completely brand new for gen 3. IVs and EVs were completely restructured.

There was no way to transfer generation 2 .pkm files to generation 3. The only time machine that has ever been in the games was the one that allowed you to trade between generations 1 and 2.

Anon why. I can't even remember my team in Emerald, and since I tried so hard to fill the dex since it was my first game and only coming back to dupe stuff (to leave one copy in Emerald, one in Platinum) I can't even remember how important the were to me. ;_;
