I probably used them in Gens 1 and 2, don't remember what on. Haven't used any since then, it feels like cheating, but I keep them around in case I get into trouble on a shiny or something.

The rest- nothing. A shiny electrode in Ruby so it wouldn't self-destruct

In the rest of the games I don't use anything but pokeballs. It's my little way of making them harder. Try catching the Mewtwo in Crystal with a pokeball. It took me a dozen resets and 400 tries.

I usually use my master ball on roamers. I caught Mewtwo this gen before I found out that the legendary bird wasn't a real roamer. I was pissed, because Mewtwo in a Master Ball just feels right.

That's the only Master Ball I remember using. I usually attach it to one of my perma-boxed Pokemon as soon as I get it just so I don't accidentally chose it during an encounter.
