Have you unlocked all three pokemon in the safari yet? Or maybe it's just real bad luck. I went 5 days hunting for a scrappy loudred before I actually found one.

Avalugg @ anything you want Leftovers I guess
Impish or Relaxed Nature
Sturdy or Own Tempo
~Avalanche
~Earthquake
~Recover
~Rapid Spin
Alternatively,
Avalugg @ Again anything you want
Impish or Relaxed Nature
Sturdy
~Avalanche
~Earthquake
~Recover
~Mirror Coat
Can't decide which one is better. I think a Shell bell might be a good choice as well for this guy, especially the Mirror Coat set, though he won't be able to survive much from it.

These sets let him be an bulky sweeper once the special threats are out, since it has really great coverage super effectively with ice and ground.
Recover just means it can't die/

Avalanche, Recover and EQ are mandatory. For the last one, you can use Gyro Ball or Stone Edge (depending on what you coverage you want), Mirror Coat (for Sturdy + Custap Berry sets) or Curse (lategame bulky sweeper).

That would mean ignoring recover. This is a physical staller, it can't really take special hits well even if you use a sp def boosting nature and EV it in that. Besides assault vest is like what...a x1.5 boost? That is not a lot.
Scott 3480-3068-3325

>>15839503 yeah, assault vest is better spent on a goodra or something if you're looking for a special wall. It puts him through the roof.

>>15839435 Assault Vest is utter shit on Avalugg, don't bother. The boost is not good enough to let him survive meaningful special attacks and you miss Recover (and possibly Roar).
Weakness Policy is fantastic, and so is Leftovers. If you are using Sturdy, Custap Berry might be good as well. Priority Recover after you murder a special attacker might just win you the game.
