You predict the retard using it, because most of them who use it use the exact same strategy.

King's Shield/Swords Dance first turn.
If they've used King's Shield, they're going to go for a Swords Dance 2nd turn.

Alternatively, use Weezing. Completely walls Aegislash, has haze, and Flamethrower to deal with it.

Scolipede works great for me. Set up a sub while he shields and it becomes literally impossible for him to get you. Mine takes out a solid 45% of it's HP every eq.
Burn also helps a lot, or switching into a normal type with something that hits for SE.

He takes a lot of damage while he sets up, so Shadow Sneak lets him start doling out OHKO's without risk of taking more damage.

He can also use it to finish off a misjudged Sacred Sword 2HKO.

honestly i think any bulky boosting pokemon can handle aegislash with no sweat as long as they aren't 4x weak to fighting.

Because it can help KO a pokemon at low health, hit ghosts that would otherwise kill him with a supereffective ghost move, plus if your opponent lets you set up 2 SDs then Shadow Sneak can OHKO a lot of stuff.

I remember killing some guys shiny aegislash with a double team/bright powder Yanmega. We both spent the first 4-5 turns using SD and DT and then i ended up sweeping his whole team without a single hit.

I assume now that you're playing on showdown which is a completely different element.

Also if you have +6, in yellow, and faced with something that could finish you off even if you were in Shield Forme, shadow sneak it, fuck it. What's Aegislash going to achieve later once he has no HP or boosts and the enemy knows your set?

Quagsire is a great counter to Aegislash, Talonflame, and to some extent Greninja - by far the most commonly used pokemon at the moment.
Also it doesn't hurt that people don't know what Unaware does

It's a shame that Megazard Y kills it so easily

What do we do when roughly a third of all Aegislash are running Autotomize Mixed Attacking sets? Sure, that set loses to fast Scarfers and Priority, but those aren't the sorts of things you'd switch in to King's Dance Aegislash. Honestly, this Pokemon should play mind games by making you guess which set it's running, not the King's Shield shell game we're all so used to crushing.

is a great way to deal with him. As he cant force you to eat the debuff on shield.
Set up aegis can be an issue though.

Taunt is another way to deal with him. As he cant ever be in shield form if he is taunted.

Earthquake does the trick. Fire Blast. Know how to predict. The last one especially. Beat one with an Umbreon last night. Granted my opponent wasn't very good, but going off just stats he probably should have won. I just out-predicted him.

There are a lot of pokemon like that. Threats that absolutely have to be considered when making a team. Un boosted his shadow sneak wont do much, and that opens him up to get wrecked by special attacks. As far as physical attacks go everyone and their mom has earthquake, kings shield is easy to bypass. Furthermore kings shield also doesn't block status, so you could burn him or para him etc. he's strong but he's not unbeatable, /vp/ is just bad at pokemon.

It does matter, its base stats are all shit as fuck and it doesn't have much to offer defensively whatseover. Malamar is very easily slain. Against Aegislash? Sure it might be passable. In general?
