So I'm fairly new to competitive but I've been thinking about a strategy for doubles. I know this probably won't work on ranked but here it is.

Audino with Simple Beam with choice scarf
Xerneas with Geomancy and power herb

Would this work or am I a retard?

You can't use legendaries in Rated.

Which is weird, because you CAN use the legendary birds.

You can use legendaries in Rated, you just can't use them all. Only some are banned, like most event mons and cover legendaries + chatot.
I'm fucking sick of people thinking that every legendary pokemon is overpowered. Or that using them is cheating.

Chatot's not banned anymore. I use one and hell Chatter even has 100% confusion rate now.

Nah can't record anymore. I use mine with Metronome because then when the opponent switches I can use Chatter on that 'mon with increased attack and lol to the bank.

Then why didn't they boost his stats or give it an evolution? I mean, that was his gimmick. Now it's a weak pokemon and it's not even a gimmick. Why.
