Let me rephrase. How "good" does the english dub do in making the openings, do they do it word for word or make something up on there own?

I think the closest they ever came was in Johto League Champions, when the Japanese version did a remix of the original theme for that season and the English dub did the same.

So the dub does it's own thing, sure they may take a clip from the opening but it is there own thing

Keep in mind that I stopped caring around D/P, but I doubt the new dubbing company cared enough to dub an opening and make it work.
