Seeing as Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald are totally skipable. That wouldn't be bad.

Though I think the quest director and the world director should have sat down together or met at any point, the region isn't bad.

And from Gen 1 & 2 being the most popular because of muh gens! and it being the oldest gens and since they have great remakes, Gen 3 Pokemon feel the most exotic without going too far with it.

I was just thinking of how nice hoenn would feel in an x/y game style and how they could introduce more megas that way.

On a side note, I feel like x/y were more like beta tests for how a 3d pokemon game would feel.

i wasn't a fan of gen 3 games to be honest, and althought i'm not opposed to them releasing a much needed remake of those games, the fact that this gen only gave us 70 some pokemon was kind of disappointing. I think gamefreak needs to step it up and release gen 7 along with a downloadable update for gen 6 to expand the pokedex to include gen 7 pokemon/items.

I'd be very okay with Hoenn remakes. Especially given how much the games have changed and improved since then.

Hoenn's problems could be fixed with a combination of new features and altered scenarios. Match Call returns. Emerald storyline for the most part. Expanded/altered Hoenn Pokedex. Pokemon Aime, etc.
