>>15855491I think any "hate" is exaggerated, but it does have a few things holding it back from being up there with the other Megas. For one, it probably suffers the most from being in its base-form before evolving. It's key to fame is Prankster, but it can't abuse it first turn. Regular Banette can't really afford to use Protect, either, as MBanette really needs all four move slots. Also, even though it has an amazing support pool, its best unique asset is still Priority DB. That's not bad, since it's easily the best DB user there is, but it's questionable if it's worth the Mega slot.
If you can get past all that, though, MBanette can really put the icing on an already great team. Its support moves are varied enough to get what you need, and DB can potentially clear out a sweeper that the rest of your team doesn't want to bother with. Even better if it can get clocked by Shadow Claw, because MBanette has a very nice Attack stat, while maintaining the threat of a Priority DB.
