And even if everyone tipped cheaply, say $3, 4 tables an hour would mean $12 an hour before wages. Which, for the type of work they do, is extremely fair. Not livable adult income, but they are not really doing an adult job.

And again, that's if everyone tipped $3, which I'd imagine is less than the average. You don't have to give them your charity.

How is the prepared meal going to arrive at your table without a waitor? The chefs can't do that. They're too busy preparing meals. You can't since customers aren't allowed in the kitchen.
