Everyone of you out there who has got 50+ wins in Battle Maison Super Singles, how do you do that? I mean, how do you manage to avoid all the Quick Claw and Bright Powder bullshit? I can't believe that never happens to you. Or how do you manage to get through those situations when the game chooses a perfect counter for your Pokemon? My team is MegaChomp, Life Orb Protean Greninja and Choice Band Talonflame and I've never made it past 31 wins, although I've reached that twice.
Yes, I'm perfectly aware that my team is OU: The Team: The cookie cutter: The movie: The novel: the video game, but let's push that aside for a while.
Out of my 7 losses only one was a fair one. The AI always happens to have a perfect counter for Talonflame which I usually leave at the end. Here's a quick list of my losses:
Loss #1:
>Steelix's Quick Claw allowed it to move first
>Earthquake on weakened MegaChomp
>Steelix's Quick Claw allowed it to move first
>Explosion on Greninja
>Talonflame vs. Bastiodon
Loss #2:
>Talonflame vs. Magnezone
Loss #3:
>Talonflame vs. Weavile
>Sash
>Ice Punch
>FRZ
Loss #4:
>Talonflame vs. Weavile, again
>Sash, again!
>Ice Punch
>Critical Hit
Loss #5:
>MegaChomp and Greninja vs. Crobat
>Crobat flinches both to death
>They flinch for a total of 7 times in a row, ~0,02% probability of this happening
Loss #6:
>My whole team vs. some asshole I can't remember
>Opponent is obviously holding Bright Powder
>Attack missed
>Attack missed
>Attack missed
>Attack missed...
I mean, there's nothing I can do to avoid this. I can't prevent Quick Claw or Bright Powder. I can't win if the game has decided to perfectly counter my whole team or make my Pokemon miss all of their moves. How is it possible to avoid these kind of things for more than 30 matches? What's your secret?
