With flame body and an O-Power they'll all hatch pretty quick, and you'll just have to stop and go back to a PokeCenter to switch them.
I guess it saves a marginal amount of time but it's not like when people use tricks like this to leave a game running overnight to up their step count.
See that's a case-in-point; if you wanted to increase your Pokemiles for Rare Candies or something, this trick would be perfect. Plug your 3DS in, set your character to run in a circle by fixing the joystick, come back a few hours later after doing something else.
I just don't understand why it's such a big deal for hatching, the game expects you to pay attention to the screen and navigate menus and you'd have to stop all the time anyway.
And that's doubly so since eggs hatch WHILE YOU COLLECT EGGS; even if you wind up getting new eggs twice as fast as you hatch old ones you've still hatched half the eggs by the time it's done. Seems like going to the effort of flying to Lumiose and jamming something on/in your joystick just to avoid having to press down on it for a couple minutes is not at all worth the effort.
I must just be a fucking retard because I don't get it.
