Does anyone have any idea if you can use Wi-fi on a DS emulator? I'm thinking about playing HGSS to get some exclusive Pokemon to transfer over to BW2 and then to X & Y when Pokebank comes out.

Does Wi-Fi work with the emulators? And if it does, do you think Pokebank will detect the Pokemon as illegal since I caught them using an emulator. I plan on doing this with no cheats though.

Why would it detect the Pokemon as illegal? It doesn't make a difference of playing it on the computer as opposed to an actual DS. It's the same deal as every time, you get a legit trainer ID, et etc.

And as long as you don't caught them under circunstances you shouldn't (Example: catching an starter on a route or even if it was hacked in some way, Pokebank would detect those slight changes) it'll considered legit.

I'm not sure how Pokebank will behave with roms ON FLASHCARTS though, as long as you play the proper way, you should have no problems.

But on emulators FORGET IT, buy the games.

I own a physical copy of the fucking game. I'm just curious and want to experiment with it if it works. Which, if it does, I can run two games for whatever suits my needs.

i don't see why it would be detected as hacked since you're technically playing the game normally; just on the emulator..if you're playing the game without cheats

Emulators can go online but you aren't transferring shit.

You have to change a few settings (DHCP etc) and it's a mess of a process that I personally don't think is worth it.

If you want to do this to run an extra file (which is what it looks like), just start a new game when you take everything you want when Pokebank comes out, and just repeat the process. Sure it might take a while, but emulators are a headache and I don't think it's worth the hassle of installing a few third party programs to make some sort of gateway to get an internet connection on the emulator. You can look it up on YouTube, if you are that insisting on doing so.

This, and you're better off just doing it on your DS (re-playing the game twice) because the transfer from HGSS to BW2 has to be through a DS since there is an app you have to use to make the transfer. I know what you are thinking but it wont work even with an internet connection. Sorry bud. :c
