This. If you generate a Pokemon with nothing funky about it like genuine Natures, abilities, moves, etc and then breed it so that you get the perfect stats from modifying it, how can Nintendo find that out? Something tells me this is just a way to discourage the hacking. :/

Yeah if you're a fuckwit. It's possible to create mons so poorly hacked that they fail the integrity checks, go Bad Egg, and make problems. So what? Been that way forever and is true for all games that people hack; you could cause a problem that doesn't self-resolve and deleting your save is the only way to get rid of it.

So the fuck what?

This isn't a THREAT, it's the same warnings they've been making since Gen I when MissingNo and GameShark were popular.

Yeah, see this is exactly what I was thinking. If you don't fuck around with the natural shit of the Pokemon like it's default Natures, not overriding EVs, movepools, etc...I think you should be just fine. I thought the shit about the corrupting saved file is total bullshit.

So, if I were to, let's say generate a Meganium with perfect IVs, the nature I want, and the moves I want (obviously the moves that it can only learn so I don't make it obvious that it was hacked), and then breed it with a Ditto from the Friend Safari...they can't catch that can they?

They are not even doing anything differently according to this article. Disqualification for hacking was always standard in tournaments and that is the only thing they told us about.
Also they weren't even able to detect hacks in their own tournaments for the most part. So everything seems to stay the way it is.

It's simple scaremongering. They still insist that hacked pokemon can corrupt and delete your save, even though they themselves put a backup feature in to prevent exactly that from happening. If, by some miracle, you do corrupt your save, it just loads the backup.

the only real application for hacks this gen i can see are perfect legendarys for Uber battles ect. since getting those still is a royal pain.

It would be like illegal movesets in DPPt. A notable one was Roserade couldn't have both Sleep Powder AND Spikes. It could have Sleep Powder. It could also have Spikes. But you can't have Sleep Powder AND Spikes because breeding.
