>>15902021Heracross is weaker than Guts Heracross, which is fine, but it's also slower, keeps the same incredibly common weaknesses, only gets 10 extra special defense, loses all forms of recovery, it's just overall entirely outclassed in every single way compared to regular Heracross. Less power, less speed, barely any bulkier, can't even run a bulk up set because even at like, +3, it'll still get OHKO'd by the nearest flamethrower since HP can't change.
Alakazam is only outclassed in specific examples for specific things and scenarios. Mega is worse at revenge killing since no focus sash, weaker since no life orb+no damage, slower than scarfzam, which absolutely nobody uses.
But its uses lie in combining those assets together, being faster than Life Orb Alakazam, outspeeding a ton of choice scarfers/+1s that regular alakazam could never even dream of (Such as Dragon Danced Tyranitar and Gyarados, Blaziken protected Blaziken, along with stuff like Mega Gengar and other base 130s) without being locked into a move, and then doing almost as much damage as life orb alakazam without having to give up the speed.
It's still weak to priority and shit though. But it's not entirely outclassed unlike Megacross.
