Charizard Y's Sun boosted Fire Blasts are insane but it hates sneaky pebbles and being forced out by things faster than it or things that can take one of its hits.

X is more versatile and usable overall, but Y is a more powerful, specialized Pokemon you'd love on any sun team.

Pebbles ain't shit, defog that faggot rock cloud with Shiftry or Gliscor or basically any Dragon. You can find a suitable user to fit any team.

Both are solid but I'd say Xzard. Yzard pretty much needs the sun out to work well. Xzard doesn't need the sun as much to function so he can work with far more teams. Of course, if Yzard can feel the sunshine, then he's more deadly than Xzard.

Mega Zard Y is a beautiful water killer. He can 2HKO most pokemon and has solid coverage running a set like Air slash, Flamethrower, Solarbeam, and Dragon Pulse.
That's how I'd judge it, but its defense... it's terrible.

Xzard is better on its own, outdamages Yzard after a single turn if you get a dragon dance in (which you will with any amount of prediction ever), functions better with its near-unresisted dual STAB, has just enough defenses to take a fuckton of neutral priority before dying

They pretty much serve different roles though. Treat Yzard like specs overheater while you treat Y as a better salamence, or a less bulky Dragonite.

Gliscor only gets that move via TM in Gen 4. Can't pass it down via Gen 5 breeding. Nor can it breed it down via Gen 6.

So unless you can transfer up a gliscor and have it change its ability to poison heal upon arriving, that's a no.
