95/85/65 defenses just aren't that good, even with Unaware, since you'll still die to strong Special attacks and a number of Choice users, not to mention other Bulky Waters, enemy taunters, and Grass-types, rare as they may be. It's true that every Pokemon has it's counters, but Quagsire is just one of many bulky Water-type Pokemon, and Unaware, literally the only advantage it has over its competition, is often not enough to make up for its awful stats. It has a niche, but that's not enough for OU.
Plus I hate Quagsire more than any other Pokemon ever and constructing a well-reasoned, objective critique of its competitive viability was almost physically painful.
Back to being serious, how exactly does Quagsire counter Greninja and Gengar? Especially Greninja, LO 252 neutral Hydro Pump does 70% minimum and Grass Knot is an OHKO every time.
