Once the opponent wises up, they can handle him alright, and his low speed does him no favors when it comes to recovering HP. He really relies on the element of surprise.
He is an EXCELLENT counter for Blaziken, though - Shadow Sneak right past a Hi Jump Kick, followed up by tanking a Blaze Kick while Power-Up Punching for the kill.
