No; power items won't give a 6th IV when using a Destiny Knot, and even if it did, you'd probably have a pokemon with the wrong nature, anyway.

you're supposed to dump the 1sy egg, then save, then get another one, then check the hatchling 's IVs, then do the reset and choose appropriately IV'd Mons.

At the end of the day, you're still praying tot he RNG god for the correct spread anyway, so it's not that much faster,

Doesn't this not do jack shit unless you RNG a 31 at hatch? Even with two perfect parents with Destiny Knot you only get 5 and then your last is up to chance. Unless I'm retarded and I misinterpreted this whole thing.

That's how the RNG abuse actually works, yes.

Odds of a properly perfect pokemon with two 5 IV parents are 0.005208333..., or about 0.5%.

If this is right, we have a 1/25 method for 6 IV pokemon with the right nature. Before we just had a 1/32 method.

No, it's 1/192 if you're using a destiny knot and ever stone. If you're missing the stone, then it's (1/192)*(1/however many natures exist)

It doesn't matter which stat get's the random 31. If it mattered, it would be 1/192. Since you get a 6 IV pokemon whether you get a random 31 in HP or Def, it's 1/32.
I've heard many things about power items and destiny knots, so I don't know if the OP pic is accurate.

That was a strange hole in my reasoning; i fotgot to account for RNG-abused 5IV 'mons. Anyway, I'm not 100% sure about how the RNG works, so I don't know the odds of getting a perfect pokemon when you RNG abuse your way into a guaranteed 5-IV. It might be 1/32, or the RNG might shit out the same number every time, forcing you to do more work and roll the dice again and again.

That said, you still can't use a power item to force a 6-IV into happening.
