Someone on here mentioned a bit ago that his friend hadn't even started playing XY yet because he was soft resetting his starter and wouldn't settle for anything less than a shiny, female, Timid Fennekin and it made me wonder...What are the chances of that ACTUALLY happening?

well, 1/8195 for the shiny, 1/2 for the female, 1/25 for the timid nature

using simple laws of probability, if you want to find the chance of these independent events all occurring *together* you simply multiply all of these fractions together

so the chance of getting a shiny female timid fennekin is 1/406250 or 0.00000246
