The series is generally considered to have peaked a couple of books after that. Then it becomes mostly filler until book 40-something. The last stretch is pretty good.

BW -> 2 Years -> B2W2

Only 15 years passed from FireRed to B2W2. Red was 11 at the start, so he's not older than 26-27 by the end of B2W2.

Mewtwo even in this game? It makes no sense to me. Legendary birds, OK, but fucking Mewtwo? There's only one Mewtwo. There aren't two of them there's only one. And the Pokemon games seem to be continuous and in the same universe.

I should add, if XY takes place 2 years after B2W2, then the series will have caught up to real time, meaning that 17 years have passed since Fire Red (exactly how much time has passed IRL since the original Red and Green).

I assume it ran there after the abuse it took from the scientists that created it. Perhaps it hid in Cerulean for that reason, and then Red came along and gave it a good fight. I doubt it's canon to catch most of the legendaries unless it's explicitly stated or done for the story, like B/W.

Interesting... Though (a) there doesn't seem to be a train station exit there (seriously it just goes underground) and (b) if that lake on the map is that lake you see, why does the map have a pink forest while the game clearly has a port town with docks?

I ask because the geographical synchronicity is unmistakeable, but it seems like something actually important/visitable would be consistently shown. It's almost like they added this little mystery lake for essentially zero reason.

Guys I had the LATEST realization today:

When you sprint with the roller skates, if you ease into a parallel swizzle by just gradually letting up on the stick, you can maintain sprint speed indefinitely without having to restart it for the speed boost. Which is basically bike speed.

I don't know why I'm not using the bike. I'm just sick of bike music and wish they would stop putting it in the game.

Also yeah I realized that roller skate trick too, but it's too annoying to maintain on any area where you have to turn. Plus skates can't go through grass.
