Anyone running this beautiful nigger on their team? If so, what moveset? I was thinking of using him as a rapid spinner with Avalanche, Mirror Coat, and maybe Recover? I'm afraid of him maybe letting someone like Garchomp switch in for free and set up on him. Any better sets for him in 6v6 battles?

No, just use him as a typical physical tank and he'll be fine. Avalanche/EQ/Recover and something else you'd like. With base 100 attack and Ice/Ground coverage there's no way you'll be setup fodder.

Boosts your offensive stats after you've been hit by a Super-Effective attack. I think it's a +2 boost.

Raises Attack and Special Attack when hit by a Super Effective attack. With that Special Defense he can be hit by a Fire Blast/Flamethrower, Sturdy activates, Weakness Policy activates, and can Earthquake anything that isn't Talonflame.

I haven't used one myself yet, so I don't know if he scores any notable KOs with offensive investment. Max def/hp is a safe spread. Works well with entry hazards as you are a pretty potent threat to physical attackers and can phaze out special switch ins with good prediction.

Mirror Coat with Sturdy is gimmicky and probably not worth losing a physical wall to.

Avalugg is currently my biggest bro. I traded for one as soon as I booted up the game and, however unintentionally, ended up basically soloing the game with him. Now I've bred one with good IVs and I'm getting him levelled.

Personally I went with Avalanche, Earthquake, Gyro Ball and Recover, and he has sturdy + weakness policy. Yeah, I forwent Rapid Spin, but having a steel attack that will do some ridiculous damage based on how slow he is really opens him up as a damage dealer. I'm also putting 252 EVs into Def AND Sp. Def to cover that glaring weakness a bit. May not be the best out there, might get laughed at by Smogon, but I don't care. It's a useful setup for me and it works well enough.

I think Gyro Ball is kinda weak on him. Yeah he's slow as fuck but non-STAB 75-100 BP Steel isn't really great. Probably a better choice for the slot.

Thinking of running sub+avalanche+curse+recover on mine to predict special switch-ins to throw up a sub and crush them with avalanche. Too reliant on prediction/too little coverage?

I actually run Adamant, simply because I had caught an Adamant Bergmite with 3 IV's maxed out in the friend safari and I bred from there. I'm sure my set was a freaking mess, but I ended up with a 4 IV one with 0 speed that was something like this:

Again, not the ideal set by any means. But the fact that it can still perform well even after I've done my nonsense build showcases what a great pokemon it is.

That's exactly what I'm doing. Is that okay? This is my first competitive pokemon, ever. I just now finished her IV breeding.

I've got her Relaxed/Sturdy

>Recover
>Rapid Spin
>Curse

Planning on doing full Defense IVs and then... splitting the remaining between Sp. D and HP? Or just pumping them all into HP?

I just pulled that moveset out of my ass from staring at its moveset on serebii for half an hour. I have no idea what I'm doing.

Thoughts? Help?
