well, some of what he said became truth.
Like, the bond system that makes eevee evolve into sylveon (it's very similar to affection), the "whistle" has the same effects as the Pokémon-amie, he got the "trainer level" thing right, since it's popularity and O-powers combined. He got the number of legendaries too.

I liked his concept of the Farfetch'd' evolution where it stays the same but the leek becomes more weaponlike. It's totally in line of what it's actual mega evo could be.

It sounds like some of his stuff was simply renamed or retooled into what we have today, like Bond+Whistle becoming Amie and affection and the Miiverse thing being the PSS. Also the juice bars may have become cafes, and your 'writer rival' might have become Alexa (possibly original champion?).

Concept stage features? Maybe he was fired prior to changes?
Plans for gen 7, or originally 6 but moved to 7?
Coincidental bullshit?

Probably the latter, but it's interesting.
