My friends and I are doing a tournament where you can only use one type of pokemon each. I got bug, and my team so far is Scolipede - Baton Passer M-Pinsir - Physical Sweeper Volcarona - General Special Attacking (maybe tailwind) Scizor - revenge killer, etc. Any other suggestions?

Heracross is a strong physical bro. I assume this is pre-pokebank and Genesect is out of the question? Galvantula and Sticky Web is a solid lead. Parasect for Spore shenanigans. Shuckle?

>>15926569 If you're going to use tailwind you might as well have a dedicated rain set up on your team. Forretress would be an amazing wall you're missing on your team, combine that with someone like Escavalier or Galvantula and you should have some options at hand.

I was thinking of using Parasect but he feels too slow and squishy, and I feel like he'd just die the second anything touches him.

>>15926686 Who are you passing to? Pinsir?
I feel like passing to an Expert Belt Heracross could be really good

>>15926717 I don't know about Tailwind, but Rain will help all of your pokemon defensively against fire.

>>15926802 Butterfree gets it as well. You can cause a switch with sleep powder, and set up rain dance or quiver dance that turn.

>>15926892 Yeah, I didn't know he got compound eyes. Vivillion would be your choice then completely in that regard. If you need to, put the item that increases the turn usage of rain. You can also build him super bulky and use rest to your advantage, but, that's an iffy given his defensive stats.

>>15926828 Tailwind gives all your Pokes +1 speed on entry. Hurricane is the flying type special attack that Volcarona learns that gets 100% accuracy in rain.

There's also Crustle. Pretty nice defence, access to Stealth Rock if one of your friends is weak against that, Shell Smash, Earthquake, etc. I'm using a mono-bug team myself.

Okay, so now I need to choose my hazard setter. It's between:
Shuckle: SR, Sticky Web, Toxic, Encore
Forretress: SR, Rapid Spin, Gyro Ball, Volt Switch
Crustle: SR, Stone Edge, Shell Smash, X-Scissor

Oh shit I totally forgot about a fun bug counter to fire types. Use Vivillion OP. Compoundeyes with sleep powder, quiver dance, hurricane and powder (the one that causes fire types to blow themselves up). It would easily be underestimated but if you use it right it could probably sweep
